Migrating an Australian Juggernaut

Swisse is the largest nutrition and supplement brand in Australia was seeking to make a major push into the American market. This resulted in a new storefront build optimized for their demographic and maximizing user education in order to inform for high conversion.

User Testing

Problem:

A key question with the Swisse migration was the existence of the Australian ecommerce store and how much it should impact the new American storefront. There were numerous questions or cultural understandings by users and if the Australian site was optimized enough as a starting point for the new build.

Solution:

We conducted a user study of Americans on the Australian site to conclude how they perceived certain content information, product structure, and the general purchase flow of the Australian experience. This result in strong qualitative data that supported a variety of initiatives for the American build: retaining the site’s general UI and branding, making vast changes to the purchase flow to better support product and information education, renaming certain Australian terminology for an uninformed audience, and more.
